The situation on the state border between South Ossetia and Georgia at the next round of international Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia was characterized as relatively stable with individual elements of tension. This is stated in the message of the South Ossetian delegation.

A memorial evening dedicated to the defender of South Ossetia Inal Tasoev, perished in the first days of the Georgian aggression in January 1991, was held at the South Ossetian State University, the University’s press service reports.

“Like all his peers, Inal dreamed of a beautiful, dignified life, but his life was cut short by the insidious enemy who sneaked into his native Tskhinval on Christmas night,” the statement of the press service reads.
