The correctional colony and pre-trial detention center in Tskhinval received humanitarian aid from the ICRC  

On Tuesday, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delivered humanitarian aid to the correctional colony and a pre-trial detention facility in Tskhinval.

According to the ICRC Public Relations officer Marina Tedety, the action was organized as part of assistance to the authorities in improving detention.

“It has been delivered individual hygiene products (60 bags), towels (50), mattresses (50), pillows (50), bedding sets (50), blankets (50), washing powder (160 kg), liquid detergent, as well as sets of clothes and shoes (for 10 people),” Tedety said.

The assistance collection point for residents of Turkey and Syria has opened in South Ossetia

A collection point for humanitarian aid for residents of Syria and Turkey affected by the devastating earthquake has opened in Tskhinval. As Valentina Gatikoyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports of South Ossetia told the “Res” news agency, everyone who wished, by virtue of the abilities, could provide all possible assistance to the victims.

"31 years of serving the people and the Fatherland": another anniversary of the formation of the OMON was marked in Tskhinval

A solemn meeting was held in Tskhinval in honor of the 31st anniversary of the formation of the Special Purpose Police Detachment (OMON) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia.

President of the Republic Alan Gagloev, representatives of the legislative and executive branches of power, heads of law enforcement and military structures came to congratulate the riot police.

Interior Minister Valery Gazzaev congratulated the OMON fighters and veterans on their professional holiday, wishing them fortitude and successful service for the benefit of the Fatherland.

President of South Ossetia instructed to organize the collection of assistance to the victims in Syria and Turkey

On Monday, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev on Monday instructed to work out the issues of collecting and providing humanitarian aid to Syria and Turkey affected by the devastating earthquake. This was reported to IA "Res" by the press Secretary of the head of state, Natalia Bosikova.

"The humanitarian aid collection point is already open and is located in the building of the Committee for Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism," Bosikova said. On the spot you can get all the necessary information on the collection.
