On Saturday, a solemn meeting was held in Tskhinval dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland and the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Defense Ministry of South Ossetia.

The event at the State Drama Theater of the Republic was attended by representatives of the leadership, Parliament Speaker Alan Alborov, Russian Ambassador to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov, the leadership of the Defense Ministry, combat veterans, military personnel, representatives of the ministries and departments, parliament and the public.

On Saturday, the Defense Ministry of South Ossetia is hosting solemn events in honor of the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the department.

According to the press service of the Defense Ministry, a festive formation of personnel took place on the parade ground of the military camp. There were representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in South Ossetia, a delegation of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The Russian House in Tskhinval is calling on all caring citizens to join the action “Dedication to Angels. Witnesses of the Truth”, in memory of the lost children of Donbass, which is taking place on the Internet.

To participate in the action, one needs to open the "Alley of Angels" page and light an electronic candle.
