A meeting of members of the Government and the Presidential Administration of the Republic with representatives of the Department of Population Policy and Social Protection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia has been held in the capital of South Ossetia. The delegation arrived in the Republic on a two day official visit.

March 20, a working meeting of Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation - the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation to the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin and South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has been held in Nalchik.

A joint meeting of the working group of representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of Russia, headed by Deputy Minister Alexey Volin with the South Ossetian counterparts from relevant agencies on improvement of legislation of South Ossetia in the field of media, communications and youth policy has been held in Tskhinval. The meeting was also attended by the newly appointed Chairman of the State Committee for Information and Press Vyacheslav Gobozov.

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has visited today the "School of journalistic skills" in Tskhinval. The head of state welcomed the guests on behalf of the Republic and the people of South Ossetia.
"A journalist's work is heavy. Many of you participated in the coverage of the tragic events of August 2008. There are people among you who show great interest and love for South Ossetia, "- said Tibilov.

During the today's meeting of Mechanisms on Prevention and Respond to Incidents (MPRI), the South Ossetian delegation expressed concern about placing of ( February 25, 2013) another post of the Georgian law enforcement agencies in the area adjacent to the border with South Ossetia (in the village of Zemo Nikozi).

Today South Ossetia is commemorating the victims of the Eredvi tragedy. A minute of silence in tribute to their memory was paid at today`s meeting of the President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov with heads of the law enforcement agencies. He has reminded that exactly 22 years ago near the village of Eredvi after severe torturing 12 Ossetians were buried alive by the Georgian armed forces.
