At the meeting in the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) format South Ossetia raised the issue of provocations by the Georgian police.

The 112th meeting in the IPRM format ended on the border of South Ossetia and Georgia. As Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation, told journalists, most of the questions were related to the violation of the state border by representatives of the Georgian police.

As Egor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation to the IPRM, told the “Res” news agency, the main issue that the South Ossetian party has been raising for several years now is the removal of the illegal Georgian police post from the territory of South Ossetia, set up at the end of August 2019.

The Cabinet of Ministers of South Ossetia at the meeting on Wednesday made changes to the rules for crossing the state border with Georgia in a simplified manner.

Valery Alikhanty, the head of the Border Guard Service of the KGB of South Ossetia, has reminded that residents of the Republic’s settlements have been applying to the district departments of the KGB since 2011 to obtain a pass granting the right to cross the state border in a simplified manner.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev met on Tuesday in Moscow with Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to South Ossetia Jesús Rafael Salazar Velazquez, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports on the official website of the Ministry.

"The parties exchanged views on the possibilities for further development and deepening of relations between South Ossetia and Venezuela and agreed to continue interaction on the issues of mutual interest," the Foreign Ministry said.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation Alkhas Kvitsinia exchanged views on the prospects for further strengthening the traditionally friendly South Ossetian-Abkhazian relations, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports on the official website of the Ministry.

The meeting of officials took place on Tuesday in Moscow.

The meeting was also attended by Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic in the Russian Federation Z. Valieva.

The participation of South Ossetia in the Caucasian Investment Exhibition in Mineralnye Vody was discussed on Tuesday at the government meeting chaired by President Alan Gagloev.

The event will take place May 3-4. Its participants will be able to get acquainted with modern trends and prospects for the development of activities in the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and innovative projects and programs.

The Moscow independent theater "Firs" will perform a two-day tour program at the State Drama Theater of South Ossetia, the press service of the South Ossetian Theater told the "Res" news agency.

“Students of our university Diana Dzitsoyty and Kamila Yakubova are participating in the model UN at MGIMO. Model UN is a scientific conference in the format of a role-playing game, where students and high school students simulate the work of the bodies of the United Nations system," the press service said.
