Kurtesh Devaita former First Deputy Minister of Press, Transport and Information of Kosovo, Chief Editor of the Central Radio of Kosovo, said at the press-conference hold at the International press-center, that Kosovo and South Ossetia are united by their strive for independence.
Today Deputy of Russian State Duma Michael Markelov tried to visit Georgian village Tamarasheni temporarily not controlled by the authorities of South Ossetia, where according to the Georgian side today were taking place “alternative elections” of the President of South Ossetia.

At the international press-center for journalists was given a press-conference by the observes of the international Institute on election monitoring. Questions of numerous journalists were answered by observes from Spain - Manuel Garcia, Venezuela – Luis Tackson and Lithuania – Sergey Feodorov.
On the central square of the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia took place a meeting to support the forthcoming referendum on the independence of the RSO.
First delegations of observers started to arrive to the Republic of South Ossetia. Today to the Republic arrived representatives of Preidnestrovie.
According to the information spread by the Georgian mass-media in North Ossetia were opened electorals for so called «alternative elections” of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia. To comment the situation Correspondent of informational agency “Res” approached Deputy Administration Chief of the Head and Government of RNO-Alania Murat Tkhostov:
As of today the Minister of Interior of the RSO is increasing security measures during the referendum. This information was given by the Minister of Interior to the correspondent of “Res” agency: “We are increasing security measures. At this stage we will be guarding state buildings and as of tomorrow electorals”.
The Minister also added that the security measures will be extended up to 13th November.
At the international press-center of the Republic of South Ossetia was carried press-conference of the RSO President Eduard Kokoity. Questions that were asked by the journalist were mainly related to the political situation around the Republic and the forthcoming referendum.
