Official Tbilisi continues provocations against our Republic. Georgian authorities, in contrast with the opinion of the International Community to resolve the Georgian – Ossetian conflict by peaceful means, continue to destabilize the situation in South Ossetia by means of extremist attacks as well as by direct threats for the safety of our Republic.
As informed by the press-service of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of South Ossetia in village Upper Artsev, Tskhinvali region, temporarily not controlled by the RSO authorities, was carried out a joint special operation of the South Ossetian militia and Georgian police.
Its been four days since the roads were closed by the Georgian side on the Kekhvi-Tamarasheni part of the Trans Caucasian Highway. Goods, food, fuel and sowing corn for remote Ossetian villages piled up there.
Currently at the central square of the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia – Tskhinval is taking place a big concert-meeting. At 22:00 the square was lightened by a colorful firework. In front of the public spoke the current President of the RSO Eduard Kokoity, Chairman of the RSO Government Yuri Morozov, Bishop Alanskiy and others.

According to the information of the RSO Minister of Interior press-service, today at 18:20 near the former Ergnety market, in the bordering territory between the Georgians and Ossetians, the officers of the Special Forces of the Georgian Minister of Interior smashed a taxi that was bringing Georgian passengers, after that they have severely beaten the Ossetian driver of the taxi.
Recently Georgia has been refusing suggestions of South–Ossetia to sign a memorandum that would guarantee not to renew military operations. The Georgian side also rejected development of joint programme on peaceful resolution and further discussion of thwe programme by the top leadership.
