The acting Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government of South Ossetia Republic, the Co-chairman of the south-ossetian part of JCC Boris Chochiev has accepted the Head of the Mission of OSCE in Georgia the Ambassador Roy Riv under his request. Earlier Roy Riv met with the co-chairmen of the Russian and Georgian parties of JCC.
During the meeting was discussed the question of carrying out of the meeting of JCC within the limits of an existing format. Roy Riv has expressed concern over the fact, that the session of JCC did not take place for so long time and no decisions were accepted, that negatively reflects the georgian-ossetian relations and on the further course of the negotiating process, and also the realization of economic projects of rehabilitation of the zone of the conflict.

On February, 7th, 2007, the representatives of the city organization of the Progressive socialist party of Ukraine led by the vice-president of PSPU, the deputy of the three convocations Marchenko Vladimir Romanovich have led a vigil of the Georgian embassy. The action has passed under the slogans: « Georgia, hands off South Ossetia! », «Saakashvili, stop killing the Ossetians!»

The head of the apparatus of the Co-chairman of JCC from the South-Ossetian party Leonid Tibilov has met the representatives of the Agency of international development of the USA (USAID).

The agreement in principle on carrying out of the session of JCC in Tskhinval is reached. The correspondent of «Res» was informed about it by the Head of the Apparatus of the co-chairman of the south-ossetian part of JCC Leonid Tibilov.

The incidents, which have occurred recently, and are breaking the arrangements on cease-fire between the conflicting parties, testify about the intention of the destructive forces to aggravate the situation in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict by provocative power actions and to involve the parties in the open armed opposition.

The last days the representatives of the official authorities of Georgia, including the president M. Saakashvili in his interview to the radio station « The Echo of Moscow », repeatedly declared, that Georgia was ready to negotiations with Abkhazia and South Ossetia without preliminary conditions. At the same time the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has declared, that « henceforth Georgia would participate only in those negotiating processes, the final declarative purpose of which would be the restoration of the territorial integrity of Georgia ». The correspondent of the agency \" Res \" has asked the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Republic Murat Dzhioev to comment these statements, and also to answer a number of other questions.

In connection with the tonight`s incident on the southern outskirts of the capital of South Ossetia Republic, Tskhinval, the decision on location of a temporary post since February, 1st, 2007 from 18.00 pm. in the structure of one branch from the Russian peace-making battalion and the observers from the three parties is accepted by the command of the Joint Forces on Peacekeeping in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict. «Unfortunately, Georgia does not cease the provocative actions directed on destabilization of the situation in South Ossetia. The shellings of the settlements of the republic have become regular; the military provocations directed on the representatives of the law-enforcement structures have recently become frequent. The occurring events cause deep concern in Abkhazia. We not times have paid attention of the international community to the facts of terror and the regular attempts, undertaken by Georgia, on destabilization of the situation both in South Ossetia, and in Abkhazia », is spoken in the communique of the president of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh.

The last night the Georgian militarized special divisions have made an attempt to enter Tskhinval. The correspondent of «Res» was informed about it at the press-service of the Ministry of Defence of South Ossetia Republic.

It took place the meeting of the President of South Ossetia Republic Eduard Kokoity with the members of the Council «Styr Nykhas». Eduard Kokoity has greeted the present and has informed that the All-Ossetian congress of the social movement \"Styr Nykhas\" will take place in autumn of this year in the south of Ossetia.
