The message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia

As it was earlier informed, the authorities of the Republic of South Ossetia have made a decision on discontinuance since October, 1st, 2007 of the electric power submission in the occupied by Georgia georgian-populated villages of South Ossetia, situated on the site of the Trans-Caucasin main Kekhvi-Tamarasheni in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict.

Joint Staff of JPKF: «The Command of JPKF insists on the immediate release of the military men of JPKF, seized and illegally kept by the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia»

The georgian side continues to ignore the arrangements, accepted by it in the zone of the conflict: the items 7 and 18 of the Appendix №1 of the Report of JCC №7 from December, 6th, 1994, and also the item 42 of the Provision on the group of military observers and illegally keeps two military men of the Peacemaking Forces from the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, seized by it in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict on August, 29th, 2007 by the power structures of Georgia.

Movement on the Trans-Caucasian main will be renewed

The movement on the Trans-Caucasian main, suspended on October, 1st, will be completely renewed today. The correspondent of the agency «Res» have been informed about it at the Ministry of road and capital construction of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The Command of JPKF asks to give explanations concerning finding the field-engineer division of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia in the zone of the conflict

Within the last week in immediate vicinity from the observation post of the Peacemaking Forces from the Russian Federation "Spider" was repeatedly marked the presence of armed persons. In the course of work of the group of monitoring, consisting of the observers from the three parties and the representatives of the Mission of OSCE, in the area of the observant post "Spider" has been recorded the work of the field-engineer division, belonging to the Ministry of Defence of Georgia.

Juriy Vereshchak: «According to the eyewitness, the inhabitant of the georgian settlement of Nuli, the shooting was conducted from the eastern outskirts of the settlement of Nuli»

On September, 29th, 2007, a monitoring with the purpose of checking of the received information on shooting of a civil car in the area of the settlement of Nuli had been held by the group of military observers from the three parties and the representatives of the Mission of OSCE. During the work of the group of monitoring it has been established, that on September, 28th, 2007 about 21:00pm the civil car that moved from the ossetian settlement of Kvernet in the direction of the ossetian settlement of Khod had been fired by unknown persons from the small arms.

The attempt of illegal deforestation was foiled

On September, 29th, in the course of planned actions on preventive actions of illegal deforestation on the territory of Tskhinval region, three inhabitants of the villages of Kekhvi, Kurta and Achabet, that carried out the storage of firewood, have been detained by the employees of the management on strife with economic crimes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic

In connection with an aggravation of the situation in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict

On September, 26th the capital of South Ossetia, the town of Tskhinval, has undergone a massed shelling from the direction of the georgian villages. As a result of shelling, that proceeded about two hours with application of the small arms and the large-caliber machine guns. There are wounded men there; a significant material damage is caused to the capital of the republic.

The letter of Minister of Foreign Affairs RSO Murat Jioev to the General Secretary of the United Nations Sir Pan Gi Moon

Minister of Foreign Affairs Republic of South Ossetia Murat Jioev has sent the letter to the General Secretary of the United Nations Sir Pan Gi Moon. Similar letters was addressed to the Chairman of OSCE Migel Anhel Moratinos and to the President the PACE Rene Van der Linden.

Your Excellency, Mr. General Secretary,
Allow us to express to you our highest esteem. We deem it absolutely necessary and urgent to draw your attention to the increasing tension in the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict caused by the aggressive political course regarding the Republic of South Ossetia, the policy to which the Georgian authorities are adhered and to remind you of the unconstructive position taken by Georgia in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict settlement process and in the normalization of the Georgian-Ossetian relations in general.

Juriy Popov: «We will achieve release of all the innocently detained citizens of the Russian Federation»

In Tskhinval there takes place the consulting meeting of the co-chairmen of JCC from Russia and the Republic of South Ossetia Juriy Popov and Boris Chochiev. As the ambassador on special missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the co-chairman of JCC from Russia Juriy Popov has informed the journalists before the beginning of the meeting, the consultative meeting has taken place also with the co-chairman of JCC from Georgia Dmitriy Mandzhavidze.
