THE MESSAGE FOR THE PRESS OF THE SOUTH-OSSETIAN PART OF JCC ON SETTLEMENT OF THE GEORGIAN-OSSETIAN CONFLICT

The South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission on settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict (JCC) welcomes the statement of the Operating Chairman of OSCE, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain Мiguel Ankhel Moratinos, that has expressed his concern in connection with the occured acts of terrorism in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict as a result of which on Sunday morning the three of the south-ossetian militiamen have received heavy gunshot wounds, and earlier as a result of explosion of the mine the soldier and the officer of the Russian battalion of JPKF had been hardly wounded, and has emphasized, that «the renewal of a serious political dialogue is vital for finding the effective means of the reduction of intensity».

Georgia is interested in concealment of the information on the situation in the zone of the conflict from the international community, for it hopes to make secretly from all the world the next aggression against the peace nation of South Ossetia Republic. The South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission on settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict is once again compelled to declare, that the Georgian party has again aggravated the situation in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict.

THE MESSAGE OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF SOUTH OSSETIA REPUBLIC

At night on January, 28th the diversive group of special forces of one of the power structures of Georgia, having penetrated on the territory of South Ossetia Republic from the village Nikozi of the Gorijskiy area of Georgia, has made an armed attack on the post of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia Republic ,located on the border with the territory of Georgia. Simultaneously were fired the apartment houses on the southern outskirts of Tskhinval.

According to the information of the press-service of the Ministry of Defence and extreme situations of South Ossetia Republic,the southern outskirts of Tshinval have been fired in the night from January, 28 for January, 29th.

THE COMMENT

According to the reached arrangement between the heads of the South-Ossetian and the Georgian parts of JCC on January, 23rd, 2007 in Tskhinval it should take place the meeting, devoted to the questions of payment of the accounts receivable at a rate of more than 33 million roubles for the consumed electric power by the settlements of South Ossetia Republic mainly with the Georgian population, and also the supplying with an electric power from Georgia the ossetian villages of the Tskhinvalskiy and Leningorskiy areas.

THE STATEMENT OF THE SOUTH-OSSETIAN PART OF THE JOINT CONTROL COMMISSION ON SETTLEMENT OF THE GEORGIAN-OSSETIAN CONFLICT

The South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission marks, that lately the situation in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict has again become aggravated.
The Georgian party, continuing supporting the failure of the peace-making operation, leaves without reaction such incidents and crimes as the subversive and terrorist acts against the military men of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the zone of the conflict.
