Gagloev: Ossetians know well what Nazism is - we experienced it in 1920, in 1989-1992 and in 2008
The Zar tragedy is not just a crime. It was the act of Nazism, as inhumane as the atrocities of the fascists during the Great Patriotic War, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has noted in his address to his fellow citizens in connection with the 33rd anniversary of the tragedy.
Exactly 33 years ago, on May 20, 1992, on the Zar road, which was then called the "road of life", a column of unarmed, innocent people was shot. 33 civilians - women, children, and old people - were shot in cold blood by the Georgian fascists.
