From the report of the captain of the Tiflis provincial battalion Ushveridze to the commander of the Tiflis provincial battalion on the combat unit about the robbery of residents of the Tskhinvali region by Menshevik soldiers.

.1. A resident of the village of Kheitis-Prisi, Vasily Tekoevich Shiukaev, a representative of the villagers of Kvemo-Ubani, Orthodox, asked on May 30, testified that soldiers of 4 companies and machine-gun crews located in Kvemo-Ubani went around the house and demanded milk and cheese. When we had food, we gave them willingly, but if it didn’t turn out, they scolded us in every possible way. The soldiers burned firewood, not only that, they even burned the handles and wooden parts of various agricultural implements. Near us there is a cemetery; on the day of the Ascension of the Lord, bread, vodka and two fried chicken were brought to the monuments to the dead. The soldiers, not even waiting for the consecration by the priest, stole and ate them. Most of all, we are concerned about the fact that soldiers live in our houses, we ourselves live constrained. So far, the weather was bad - we sheltered them, but now we would like them to be put out and put up in tents outside the village, all the more so since the weather is good now. Soldiers walking around the yard often crush little chickens and kill poultry. In general, the request of all the villagers for the soldiers to be withdrawn from the village. I have no further complaints in this case.”
