Participants of the rally "Relay of Memory" organized within the frames of the international public project "Our Great Victory" have held today a solemn meeting at the obelisk "Eternal Flame" in the capital of South Ossetia,dedicated to the memory of the fallen in the Great Patriotic War.
The event was attended by representatives of the Republican leadership, led by President Leonid Tibilov, war veterans, members of the public organizations, residents of Tskhinval.

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has visited today the "School of journalistic skills" in Tskhinval. The head of state welcomed the guests on behalf of the Republic and the people of South Ossetia.
"A journalist's work is heavy. Many of you participated in the coverage of the tragic events of August 2008. There are people among you who show great interest and love for South Ossetia, "- said Tibilov.

Today in Tskhinval Co-Chairs of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia have met with the national communities of South Ossetia. The meeting was held at the Media Centre "IR."

Chairman of the Belgian Association «Renaissance Sandidzan» (Revival) Radion Pukhaev was awarded with a certificate of honor "For vigorous activity in preserving the traditions and culture of the peoples of Russia, as well as for selfless labour toconsolidate the Ossetian communities in Europe."

South Ossetian branch of the Russian Interregional youth public organization "New People" will take part in the International Youth Forum "Slavic integration", which will be held from 1 to 3 March in Zadonsk (Lipetsk region, Russia). In Tskhinval have started the actions devoted to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Defence of South Ossetia and the Day of Defender of the Fatherland.

The dress rehearsal for the concert program of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of South Ossetia "Simd" has been held today in Tskhinval. The concert program will be presented in Nicaragua, where the ensemble plans to fly on February 17.

The Geneva talks on security in Transcaucasia are still important for South Ossetia, as it is one of the key factors of stability in the region.
This has been stated by the Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev at a joint briefing with the Co-Chairs of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia, who have arrived today in Tskhinval.

Republic of South Ossetia is recognized by the Russian Federation; thetwo countries have established equal contractual relationship in accordance with the international standards.

The discussion on the state investment policy, perfection of legislation on improving the investment climate and attracting foreign investment in the economy of South Ossetia was attended by public and political figures of the Republic.
