Republic of South Ossetia was visited by the European Union Special Representative in South Caucasus, Peter Semnebi. He was accompanied by: Robert Liden, Adviser for the European Commission, Diana Yanse, Political Adviser to the Special Representative, and Izolt Figerald, Political Adviser to the Special Representative.
The guests from the EU were received by the first deputy Chairman of the RSO Government, Co-Chairman for the South Ossetian side of the JCC, Boris Chochiev. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Jioev.
After greeting the guests, Boris Chochiev thanked the guests on the behalf the RSO President for considering problems of South Ossetia.
Further the participants of the meeting exchanged their views on the negotiation process and the role of the International Community and International Organizations, particularly the EU, in the process of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict resolution.
