The meeting of the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Republic M.K.Dzhioev and the Head of the Apparatus of the Co-chairman of the South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission L.H. Tibilov with the delegation of representation of the USA in OSCE, which has been presented by Jeff VanDriel, the head of the department on resource management, and Chris Sibyl, the officer on political questions, has taken place. The structure of the delegation also included the employees of the Embassy of the USA in Georgia: Michael Goddard, the assistant on political questions, Alan Pursell, the officer on political and economical questions of the Embassy, and Stacy Blaugh, the officer on political questions. The delegation was accompanied by the head of the office of Mission of OSCE in Tskhinval Bozhidar Dimitrov and the councilor of the head of the Mission Matthew Gudstein.
During the meeting the south-ossetian party has stated its vision of the course and prospects of settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict and the role of the international organizations in this process. As the USA is one of the countries-donors of the program on estimation of the needs, carried out by OSCE and the European Union in the zone of the conflict, there took place the detailed conversation concerning the projects on economic rehabilitation of the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict.
The guests have visited a number of objects, included in the program of rehabilitation, and also have met the representatives of the sector of NGO of South Ossetia Republic and have visited the office of OSCE in Tskhinval.
