During the meeting with Raul Khajimba, the sides discussed the whole range of issues, concerning the relations between the two republics, said President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov during the briefing after the official negotiations.
"It was emphasized mutual respect and a desire to further build up the established political and economic relations. Were signed the agreements on mutual cooperation between the ministries of education and agriculture. I am confident that we are able to fulfill everything, especially since the peoples of the two republics and their leaders demand it, "Bibilov said.
President of South Ossetia has noted that the Republic always welcome dear guests from Abkhazia and has expressed confidence that such visits will provide an incentive for more active work of the ministries and departments..
Anatoly Bibilov also talked about joint developments in the field of further international recognition of the young republics.
"Both the Abkhaz and South Ossetian sides raise the issue of signing a memorandum on the non-use of force. So far there is no reaction from Georgia. In the meantime, processes are underway, and the recognition of both republics will continue. Of course, for South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the main thing was Russia's recognition. At the same time, we express huge gratitude to those states that have recognized us- Venezuela, Nicaragua and Nauru. In the future, I am absolutely sure, this process will continue, the work in this direction is very active, "Bibilov said.
"At the moment, there are certain developments in terms of recognizing our states. It is important for us to reach agreements on the non-use of force and the possibility of recognition of our states at the Geneva meetings, since our common enemy is still a threat to us, "Raul Khajimba added.
The President of Abkhazia has also noted that the work for the benefit of both nations will create conditions for the development of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
"The mutual relations between our countries are deeply rooted in history. I would like that not only we, but also future generations, continue this interaction, and in order to strengthen these relations, our states must develop, "the head of Abkhazia said.
According to Khajimba, the documents signed during the visit to South Ossetia, once again confirmed the close relationship between the two countries.
Both leaders have assured that the cooperation between Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be further developed, and the signed agreements will be filled with practical content.
