The International Committee of the Red Cross organized a field meeting for the families of persons missing in connection with the armed conflict in South Ossetia in the 1990s and 2008, the Committee’s press service reports.
The ICRC has noted that the organization thereby supported the initiative of the families of missing persons.
“The event with a three-day stay of twelve people from nine families at the Rose of the Winds health center in the picturesque Upper Fiagdon of North Ossetia is accompanied by an educational program on self-presentation and persuasive speech,” the press service has noted.
They added that the training was conducted by the head of the Vladikavkaz public speaking studio “I’ll Talk!” Dzerassa Ktsoeva.
"The field meeting is one of the events planned for 2024 for the families of the missing," Lidiya Kudzieva, head of the Association of Missing Persons Memory and Hope, said.
In addition to the annual commemoration event on the International Day of Missing Persons, August 30, other commemorative events with the participation of the families are planned.
