A substantive conversation about the tasks of the South Ossetian delegation in the format of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, including the activities of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms, took place during the working meeting between President of the Republic Alan Gagloev and State Advisor Konstantin Kochiev, the press service of the head of state reports.
“The dynamics of the situation on the South Ossetian-Georgian border, the approaches of the parties to key issues, and the regional context in terms of possible challenges to national security were discussed in particular,” the press service said.
Referring to the broader foreign policy agenda, the President noted the need to make greater use of opportunities for interaction with friendly states.
"They also talked about the need to increase activity in the foreign policy area, including in the information component," the press service has noted.
