Joining the Union State is one of the possible and most promising options for South Ossetia, President Alan Gagloev said in his interview with Izvestia.
On the eve of the Day of Recognition of State Independence, which will be celebrated on August 26, the head of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev gave a detailed interview to the newspaper about the historical choice of the path of rapprochement with Russia, Georgia's proposals to join the EU together, and Tskhinval's actions to develop international cooperation.
The leader of the RSO has noted that Tskhinval is actively working to establish cooperation with Belarus, which will strengthen ties with the Union State.
"So far, we are talking about contacts in the humanitarian sphere, in sports, and so on. In the future, we expect to enter into closer cooperation with the Republic of Belarus," Gagloev said.
