President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the delegation of the Russian Emergencies Ministry headed by the Acting Head of the Main Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Nikolai Ivanov, which arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the festive events in honor of the 16th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation, the press service of the head of state reports.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Presidential Executive Office of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Alborov, the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Ibrahim Gasseev and Deputy Head of the territorial body of the Main Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Zurab Gabataev.
Alan Gagloev welcomed the guests to South Ossetian soil and expressed gratitude for the visit on such a significant day.
People of South Ossetia remember very well the assistance of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in demining the territory after the tragic events in 2008. To this day, we have the closest interaction between our departments, including the joint development of bilateral agreements. We came to this victory together.
Now, representatives of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are heroically ensuring security in the area of the special military operation. God grant that we celebrate this common victory together in the near future," the head of state said.
Nikolay Ivanov, on behalf of the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Kurenkov, thanked Alan Gagloev for the invitation and conveyed warm words of congratulations on the occasion of the significant date.
"From the very first days, the Russian Emergencies Ministry participated in the restoration of the statehood and economy of the Republic. We are still ready to provide assistance in any matters of interaction with South Ossetia," he said.
In accordance with the presidential decree, Nikolai Ivanov and Zurab Gabataev were awarded medals "In Commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of the People of South Ossetia."
At the end of the meeting, Alan Gagloyev presented the guests with memorable gifts.
