The Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of South Ossetia Aelita Dzhioeva signed a Memorandum of Friendship and Mutual Assistance with the Children's Ombudsman of the Republic of Dagestan Marina Yezhova. The document was signed in Makhachkala, where Dzhioeva took part in the international round table dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the defeat of international gangs in Dagestan.
"We have united our alliance by signing a Memorandum of Friendship and Mutual Assistance. We have many plans ahead. We would very much like to adopt your many years of experience and implement it in South Ossetia," the South Ossetian Ombudsman said.
During the meeting, Dzhioeva and Yezhova discussed the current issues in children's rights protection and outlined prospects for joint work. Dzhioeva also expressed gratitude for the hospitable reception, and the parties also exchanged memorable gifts. During her visit to Dagestan, Dzhioeva plans to get acquainted with the work of a medical rehabilitation center and a clinic for the treatment of cognitive problems.
“The problems are basically the same. The most important thing is that we must be human rights defenders for our children and do everything possible to ensure that they are protected by the state,” she has emphasized.
Dzhioeva has also invited Yezhova to pay a return visit to South Ossetia.
