South Ossetia honored the memory of the heroes who had defended peace on the Transnistrian land

The head of the official representative office of South Ossetia in Transnistria, Vitaly Yankovsky, took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the Tiraspol Memorial of Glory, the press service of the representative office reports.

The ceremony took place as part of the events dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

“The country's top officials, heads of the government bodies, ministries, departments, institutions, enterprises, public organizations, clergy, military personnel, and youth gathered at the Tiraspol Memorial of Glory to honor the memory of the heroes who, at different historical periods, at the cost of their lives, defended peace on the Transnistrian land. In their honor, there is a traditional minute of silence,” the press service reported.

It has been noted that President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky lowered a memorial wreath to the marble slabs with their names.

According to the press service, “the head of the official representative office of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky also laid fresh flowers to the Eternal Flame,”
