The closest, kindred relations have developed between South Ossetia and the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic. This was noted by President Alan Gagloev at the meeting with the delegation of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic headed by Minister of Property and Land Relations Roman Baskaev, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebration of the Day of the Republic of South Ossetia.
"Today, the South Ossetian people are celebrating the Day of the Republic. We have been moving towards this event for a long time. In the 1990s, the Republic experienced heavy blows from its southern neighbor - Georgia. With your arrival, you once again confirmed that the closest, kinship relations have developed between our republics and peoples. We are always glad to see our brothers and all guests from friendly countries,” the President was quoted by his press service.
Alan Gagloev has emphasized that he is in constant contact with the head of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic Rashid Borispievich Temrezov.
“We see how the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic is developing, we are happy about your successes. It is always pleasant to note that you have Ossetian villages in the republic, we always visit you on May 6, when St. George’s Day is celebrated, ”.
According to Alan Gagloev, the federal center provides great support to the Caucasian republics and thanks to this, the fraternal republics have the opportunity to develop and move forward.
“The delegation from the Republic of South Ossetia always takes an active part in the events that are held in the Caucasus. This is important. The relations that have developed between the republics are being continued in almost all areas – agriculture, industry. When we were last at the exhibition in the Chechen Republic, we were discussing the extractive industry with Rashid Borispievich, and today we are starting to develop it. This, of course, implies the possibility of employment for the population of South Ossetia. We count on each other. We also count on strengthening bilateral relations, we are set for constructive work,” he emphasized.
The head of state also noted the hospitality of the Caucasian peoples.
Roman Baskaev congratulated the head of state and all the people of South Ossetia on the holiday.
“It is very pleasant to hear warm words addressed to our republic. Thank you for the invitation. You are doing everything for the benefit of the republic. It is difficult. But we see positive dynamics. Improving the life of the people of the republic is a great and difficult responsibility. The people of our republic are always with you. All the best to you, well-being, the implementation of your goals and stability,” he said.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Presidential Executive Office of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Alborov, the first Deputy Chairman of the government of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Dzhioev and the first deputy head of the administration and the head of the government of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic Akhmat Semenov.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged souvenirs.
