The South Ossetian authorities hand over to Georgia the violator of the state border

The South Ossetian authorities handed over to Georgia its citizen - Vasily Salamashvili, who had violated the state border of the Republic, the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

As reported by the Committee, the 43-year-old resident of the village of Sakorintlo, Kaspi municipality of Georgia, was detained by the South Ossetian border guards on September 24 in the vicinity of the village of Monaster, Leningor district.

“Due to the fact that the violator has health problems, the Border Service of the KGB of South Ossetia made a decision to hand him over to the Georgian side without penalties,” the State Security Committee has noted.

It was added that on Wednesday Salamashvili had been handed over to Georgia in accordance with the established procedure.
