In South Ossetia, the checkpoints on the border with Georgia Razdakhan and Pereu will not be functioning October, the press service of the Republic's KGB reported.
As noted by the department, these restrictions are related to the parliamentary elections in Georgia and were adopted in order to prevent the creation of the border incidents on the state border, as well as to exclude possible provocations from the pro-Western and nationalist radical forces of Georgia.
"From 8:00 10/25/2024 to 08:00 10/28/2024, the State Security Committee is transferred to the enhanced service mode," the press service has noted.
The KGB called on the citizens and guests of the Republic to avoid being within the border zone of the Republic of South Ossetia during the specified period of strengthening.
At the same time, residents living in the border zone and keeping and grazing livestock must have a passport of a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia with a registration stamp at the place of stay within the territories of settlements located in the border zone.
The KGB has reminded that all possible directions of penetration of violators of the state border of the Republic are in the control zones and sectors of influence of the border forces of South Ossetia.
