A set of events dedicated to the 225th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin will be held in Tskhinval on October 19. This was reported by the press service of the Russian House in Tskhinval.
The events will begin at 10:00 on Theater Square with the opening of the exhibition "Fairy Tales by A.S. Pushkin in Illustrations by the Artists of the Russian Diaspora".
At 11:00, the A. Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad and the Heritage Foundation of the Russian Diaspora will hand over several hundred books to the Anacharsis Republican Library. The transfer will take place as part of the "Book Gift" project. The exhibition of new books will also be organized there.
At the State Concert Hall "Chermen", at 12.30 it will be held a stand-up lecture by writer and the RUDN teacher Gayane Stepanyan "Memories in Tsarskoye Selo". The guest of the evening will tell where else Pushkin could have studied and why the choice of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum became fateful. They will also talk about the Lyceum friends, first poems, and Derzhavin's blessing.
The complex of the events is held by the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in South Ossetia together with the A. Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad, the Heritage Foundation of Russian Abroad and the Anacharsis South Ossetian Republican National Library, with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the RSO.
