Issues of interaction between South Ossetia and Venezuela were discussed by the Ambassadors of the two countries to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez, the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy reports.
It was noted that Znaur Gassiev had visited the Venezuelan mission in Moscow on Friday at the invitation of his colleague.
“During the warm meeting, issues of interaction and cooperation between Tskhinval and Caracas were discussed, and a mutual desire to further strengthening friendly relations between the two countries was expressed,” the Embassy has noted.
Venezuela recognized the independence of South Ossetia on September 10, 2009, following Russia and Nicaragua.
