The Office of the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights of South Ossetia expressed strong support for the people of Venezuela.
"We remember that the Bolivarian Republic was one of the first countries to recognize the sovereignty of South Ossetia, demonstrating a commitment to the principles of justice.
We enjoy fruitful cooperation: at the international scientific and practical conferences of ombudsmen in Moscow, we discussed issues of protecting the rights of minors with our Venezuelan colleagues from human rights organizations and developed joint action plans," the statement published in the telegram from the Children's Rights Commissioner reads.
"We strongly condemn the escalation of tension and aggressive actions by the United States, which constitute a grave violation of international law. Such attempts of intervention and destabilization of the sovereign state are absolutely unacceptable, as they threaten the lives and safety of the most vulnerable segment of the population—children," the statement reads.
On Saturday morning, the United States committed the act of armed aggression against Venezuela. This is deeply concerning and condemnable.
