UN may adopt any resolution- said the co-chair of the Geneva discussions

Broad spectrum of issues, including security and humanitarian issues was discussed at today's meeting of co-chairs of the Geneva discussions with members of the South Ossetian delegation. As reported by Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement, Murat Dzhioev in the course of the briefing, special attention was paid to the situation in Zardiantkari in connection with placing the Georgian police post near the border of South Ossetia.

A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, issued July 16, 2012, expressed concern about the visit of Commander-in- Chief of the RF Land Forces, Colonel-General Vladimir Chirkin, to South Ossetia, who allegedly "in violation of the state border of Georgia arrived in the regions of Georgia, occupied by Russia, -Abkhazia and the Tskhinval region".

The Prime Minister of South Ossetia met with representatives of the companies involved in the design and construction of hydro power stations

Prime Minister of South Ossetia Rostik Khugaev held a meeting with the Director General of the Limited Company "EnergostroyServis" of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania Peter Kochiev and with Chief Engineer of the Limited Company "EnergoService" of Kabardino-Balkaria Republic Akhmet Kanukov. The meeting was also attended by Minister for Economic Development of South Ossetia Zalina Khugati.

Co-chairs of the Geneva talks are expected to arrive in South Ossetia

July 18, the co-chairmen of the Geneva discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia are expected to arrive in South Ossetia. In Tskhinval the spokesmen of the European Union (Philippe Lefort), OSCE (Podrig Murphy) and the UN (Antti Turunen) will meet with members of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva discussions.
