Leonid Tibilov: South Ossetia should use the opportunity to move forward

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov informed members of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic, members of Parliament and heads of departments on the results of his working visit to Moscow. According to the President, in the Russian capital, was held a number of meetings during which \was discussed the development of South Ossetia.
"In Moscow took place a meeting with the head of the Russian Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, attended by Presidential Envoy Alexander Khloponin, Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev and Head of the Department for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Vladimir Chernov," - said the president.
Leonid Tibilov has reminded that this is the second meeting with the head of the Presidential Executive Office, the first was held in August 2013.
"During this meeting, we raised the questions related to the development of South Ossetia, the strengthening of its statehood. Our Russian colleagues have expressed assurances that Russia will continue to provide assistance to South Ossetia in the formation and strengthening of our statehood, "- said Tibilov.
According to the president, at the meeting were also discussed the issues of further cooperation and collaboration between the two countries.
"Russia has always supported South Ossetia, and we must strive for greater integration with our main ally," - said Leonid Tibilov.
The parties noted the need to work actively on the implementation of the achieved agreements. In this regard, Leonid Tibilov instructed the foreign Ministry of the Republic to supervise the work of the South Ossetian authorities in these directions.
"Participants of the meeting have stressed that Russia and South Ossetia remain consistent supporters of a strategic alliance, and it should be reflected in their daily work," - said Tibilov.
Much attention during the meeting with Russian colleagues was paid to the implementation of the Investment program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia.
"On the results of the tenth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission recounted the head of the Russian part of the IGC Alexander Khloponin , who noted the high level of work of all participants of the meeting," - the president continued .
At the same time, he drew attention to the unreasonably protracted period of recovery, urging members of the government and all departments to avoid mistakes that had led to this situation.
"This has a negative impact on the economic and political situation. South Ossetia has a good opportunity to move forward, and we should develop our statehood, "- said Tibilov.
The president has added that during the meeting were also discussed questions concerning, in particular, the preparation of the agreement on dual citizenship, the simplified system of crossing the Russian-Ossetian border, personnel issues , reorganization of the Ministry of Defense , the possibility of mutual recognition of military rank and seniority.

Acting Foreign Minister of South Ossetia discussed prospects of cooperation with the authorities of a number of Italian cities

Acting Foreign Minister of South Ossetia David Sanakoev is on a business trip in Italy.
As part of the trip Sanakoev held several meetings in the cities of Assisi, Belluno and Venice.
In the city of Assisi has met with the first advisor of the mayor Francesco Minani, during which they discussed prospects for relations between the cities of Tskhinval and Assisi in the fields of economy, culture and education. David Sanakoev also met with the Mayor of Belluno Jakoppo Massaro. The meeting discussed issues of the forthcoming signing of the Protocol on friendship and cooperation.
March 30, Acting Minister arrived in Venice, where he met with the advisers of the regional municipality of the province of Veneto. "The parties agreed on the need to continue contacts and the development of relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the province of Veneto. At the end of the meeting was held a joint press conference of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and Abkhazia and the Regional Municipality advisers of the province of Veneto region for representatives of the media.
