The South Ossetian delegation headed by Prime Minister Gennady Bekoev took part in the opening of the Forum of Russian Citizens in Lugansk, the press service of the Republic's executive body reported.

Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Viktor Vodolatsky, Deputy Foreign Minister of the DPR Natalia Mikhailova were invited to the ceremony.

South Ossetia is marking the 29th anniversary of the bringing the Joint Peacekeeping Forces into the Republic in the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict. The introduction of the joint battalion of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces into the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict in 1992 brought a fragile but long-awaited peace to the land of South Ossetia.

On Wednesday, South Ossetia will celebrate the 29th anniversary of the introduction of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict, and next year the unique peacekeeping operation will mark the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the Joint Peace and Law Enforcement Forces (JPKF) in the Georgian - Ossetian conflict zone. The JPKF was introduced into the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict on July 14, 1992 and became the guarantor of peace for the next 16 years until Georgia's attack on South Ossetia in August 2008.

The South Ossetian party announced at the meeting in the IPRM format about the growth of violations on the state border, which are committed either by representatives of the Georgian police, or with their connivance, said the head of the South Ossetian delegation Yegor Kochiev, commenting on the results of the meeting in the IPRM format in the Ergnet settlement on Tuesday.
