A boxer from South Ossetia Guram Gagiev will perform at the world championship, the athlete's coach Atsamaz Dzigoev told the IA "Res". As noted by Dzigoev, on Thursday they will go to the competition, which will be held from July 1 to 12 in Tbilisi.
“Guram was qualified for the competition thanks to his victory in the European Championship. But nevertheless, he additionally went through sparring, where the choice also fell on him,” said Dzigoev.
According to the coach, they were training intensively and will try to win.
Georgia continues to ignore South Ossetia's peace-loving proposals to sign a legally binding agreement on the non-use of force between Tbilisi, Sukhum and Tskhinval.
However, it would be unfair to blame official Tbilisi for this: it is unlikely that it decides anything in its own fate. Especially in the field of foreign policy and especially after the color revolution of 2003, which swept away the remnants of an already purely symbolic sovereignty and brought Georgia under the tight all-round US control.
The delegations of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia, following the results of the Geneva discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia, issued a joint statement in which they declare the politicization of the refugee problem by Georgia.
