Spartak Gazzayev won a gold medal in the over 80 kg weight class at the European Para taekwondo Championship.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Sports of North Ossetia, the competition was held in Istanbul on September 20-24.

The victory in Istanbul brought the Ossetian athlete the title of 6-time European champion. Gazzaev is training under the guidance of Aslanbek Dzitiev.

In addition, his ward Karina Raganina won the bronze medal in the weight class up to 57 kg.

The issues that are raised at the Geneva platform should be based on justice, President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov said on Thursday during the meeting with the EU, UN and OSCE co-chairs, who arrived in Tskhinval to discuss the agenda of the upcoming round in Geneva.
