The South Ossetian authorities handed over to the Georgian side a 37-year-old resident of the city of Rustavi, who had served his sentence in the Republic for illegally crossing state borders, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

As noted by the department, Levan Dzhemalovich Petriashvili, a citizen of Georgia, intentionally crossed the state border of the RSO with Georgia in the southeastern outskirts of Tskhinval in the spring of this year in a state of alcoholic intoxication. He was detained by the South Ossetian border guards.

Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Rada Dzagoeva will take part in the international cultural forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg from November 16 to 18.

As the press Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of South Ossetia Alana Khugaeva told IA “Res”, Rada Dzagoeva had received the invitation to participate in the forum from her colleague, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova.

The Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak will arrive in South Ossetia on a three-day working visit, the government's press service reports.

On November 17, the next 22nd Intergovernmental Commission on Socio-Economic Cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia will be held.

Fifty state border violators were detained by the South Ossetian authorities in October 2023, of which 30 violated the state border regime, 20 violated the border regime, the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic reports.
