South Ossetia will take part in the commemorative events in Bres

The delegation of South Ossetia will take part in the events dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people in Brest, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

“On the night of June 22, at the memorial complex “Brest Hero Fortress” there will be a performance by the chamber orchestra of the Brest Regional Philharmonic “Music of Memory”, then a rally-requiem “In memory of the fallen - be worthy!”, – ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame.

Ossetia remembers: flowers were laid at the monument to 13 communards in Tskhinval

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev laid flowers and wreaths at the monument to the 13 Communards at the Zguder cemetery.

South Ossetia on Thursday is remembering the victims of the 1920 genocide.

The funeral ceremony was also attended by the Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, Speaker of Parliament Alan Alborov, heads of the ministries and departments, deputies of the legislative body, the public of the Republic, and students.

The memory of the victims of the genocide of the Ossetian people will be honored in Tskhinval

Commemorative events dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the genocide of the Ossetian people will be held in South Ossetia on June 20.

As reported to IA “Res” by the Republican Commission for the preparation and holding of state-significant events, a flower-laying ceremony will take place at the monument to the 13 communards at the Zguder cemetery at 10.00.

They noted that a national minute of silence at 13.00 would honor the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Ossetian people.

South Ossetia became a silver medalist in freestyle wrestling at the BRICS Games

Azamat Zasseev from South Ossetia took second place in freestyle wrestling at the BRICS games, the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports reports.

“Our athletes, Alan Zasseev (weight class 86 kg) and Azamat Dzhioev (weight class 79 kg), also took bronze in the competition,” the Committee has noted.

The BRICS Games are taking place in Kazan from June 11 to 24. Athletes from South Ossetia are competing in 5 types of sport. The Republic's delegation of 34 people is headed by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports Soslan Gassiev.

South Ossetia will take part in the Caucasus Investment Forum

The Days of the Ossetian culture have been successfully held in Luxembourg

Within the framework of the Days of the Ossetian Culture in Europe,the exhibition of the Ossetian artists has ended in Luxembourg. The representative of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry in the Benelux countries, Chairman of the International Non-Profit Association “Renaissance”, Radion Pukhaev, told IA “Res”.

According to him, the works of the Ossetian artists aroused great interest among the visitors.

“A certain stage of the Days of the Ossetian Culture in Europe has ended,” Pukhaev said. “We are planning to hold larger events in the fall,” Pukhaev said.
