Editor-in-chief of the socio-political newspaper "South Ossetia" Zalina Tskhovrebova is participating in a round table in Pskov dedicated to interaction with compatriots abroad.

As reported to IA "Res" by Tskhovrebova, the event is taking place from July 23 to 28.

"Russian compatriots from different countries, journalists and representatives of the public exchange information about how and in what areas their interaction with the regions of the Russian Federation takes place, what prospects open up for compatriots thanks to such meetings," she said.

The South Ossetian Parliament instituted a medal "In Commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of Victory in the Patriotic War". The question was submitted to the Presidium by the head of the Committee on Legislation, Legality and Local Self-Government Zita Besaeva.

Speaker of the Parliament Alan Margiev has reminded that last year marked 15 years since the recognition of the independence of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation, having emphasized that this is the most important date in the history of the Republic.

On the border of South Ossetia with Georgia, since the previous meeting within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms, no violations have been recorded by the Georgian police and the European Union Observer Mission, the head of the South Ossetian delegation at the meetings within the IPRM, Egor Kochiev, told reporters.

He has noted that the past period was quite calm - there were a minimum of violations of the state border, as well as the detentions.
