Many soldiers from South Ossetia were fighting for the freedom of Belarus - Gagloev

The freedom and independence of the Republic of Belarus was won and supported by the efforts of generations, the leader of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, said in his congratulations to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the 80th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

Gagloev has reminded that on July 3, 1944, the entire territory of the country was liberated from the fascist invaders; the beginning was made of the liberation of Europe and ridding the world of the “brown plague.”

The South Ossetian authorities expelled from the Republic a resident of Tbilisi who had violated the state border

The authorities of South Ossetia handed over to Georgia a resident of Tbilisi who had violated the state border, the Republic’s KGB reported on Wednesday.

As reported by the department, on July 1, the South Ossetian border guards detained a 31-year-old resident of Tbilisi, Lobzhanidze Zurab, for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia.

It has been established that the said citizen intentionally violated the South Ossetian-Georgian border in the vicinity of the settlement of Balata in the Leningor district," the KGB has noted.

A lot has been done: Dmitry Volvach told about his working trip to South Ossetia

The government of South Ossetia has responsible and professional people who are ready to make decisions, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, has noted during the press conference, who arrived in the Republic the day before on a working visit.

“We discussed the prospects for our further cooperation, the results achieved in the first half of this year. I can state that a lot has been done, we have set quite high standards for ourselves,” Volvach noted.
