President of South Ossetia is participating in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Ossetia-Alania. This was reported by the Presidential Press Secretary Natalya Bosikova.

Among the guests of honor are Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Yuri Chaika and the heads of the subjects of the district.

The South Ossetian President presented the head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, with the first commemorative coin in honor of the 100th anniversary of the formation of North Ossetia-Alania.

The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia took part in the celebration of the 213th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of Venezuela, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.

It has been noted, that Ambassador Znaur Gassiev sent a message to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela, Jesus Velazquez, on behalf of the people of South Ossetia with wishes for peace, well-being and prosperity.

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry commented on the OSCE PA session held in Bucharest, during which a declaration was adopted, including a call for the withdrawal of Russian armed forces from South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

“South Ossetia has repeatedly voiced its position on the destructiveness of discussing biased documents detached from reality,” the Foreign Ministry has noted.

According to the department, this is not the first time that such documents have been adopted since August 2008.
