The South Ossetian party once again called on Georgia not to politicize the issue of missing persons and to take reciprocal steps in this purely humanitarian issue, Inal Tasoev, Commissioner for Human Rights under President of the Republic, told IA “Res ”, commenting on the results of the next meeting within the framework of the Tripartite Coordination Mechanism for the Search for Missing Persons, which took place on Friday in the village of Ergnet.

The tenth meeting of the Joint South Ossetian-Russian Demarcation Commission was held in Tskhinval, the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry reported.

"The Joint Commission continued its work on the international legal registration of the state border between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation on September 24-26," the press service has noted.

The meeting was held in the spirit of good neighborliness and mutual understanding.

The twentieth meeting of the Coordination Mechanism to clarify the fate and whereabouts of persons missing in connection with the 1990s and August 2008 armed conflicts took place on Friday, 27 September 2024, in Ergnet. This was reported by the press service of the ICRC mission in South Ossetia.

The Coordination Mechanism, which unites the Georgian, South Ossetian and Russian participants, was established with the assistance and technical support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in 2010, as an exclusively humanitarian platform.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev visited the commander of the Sarmat battalion Vladimir Naniev "Che Guevara" in one of the Russian hospitals where the fighter is undergoing treatment.⁣⁣⠀⁣⁣⠀

This was reported by the President's press Secretary Natalya Bosikova. ⁣⁣⠀⁣⁣⠀

Despite his fifth injury during the special operation, "Che Guevara" is positive. He told the President that each of the fighters knew what they were fighting for, which means that the assigned tasks will be completed.⁣⁣⠀⁣⁣⠀

A meeting between the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Executive Office Dmitry Kozak took place in Moscow, the press service of the head of the South Ossetian state reported.

During the meeting, current issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed; in particular, issues of development of the socio-economic sphere of the Republic of South Ossetia.⁣⁣⠀
