A Council of Young Diplomats has been created under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

"The Council was created with the aim of intensifying the work with young employees, ensuring continuity and maintaining the traditions of the South Ossetian diplomatic service, supporting the growth of professionalism and qualification of young personnel," the Ministry has noted.

The Foreign Ministry has added that the first meeting of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Republic's Foreign Ministry took place on Monday.

A memorandum of cooperation and understanding in the field of youth policy was signed between the Donetsk People's Republic and South Ossetia, the Committee on Sports and Youth Affairs of the Republic reports.

The document was signed within the framework of the Donbass Youth Forum, and was signed by Minister of Youth Policy of the DPR Kirill Makarov and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports of the RSO Andrei Ottaev.

South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
