On the outcome of the 30th round of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia

December 9-10, 2014 in Geneva was held a regular meeting in the framework of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia, with the participation of delegations of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States, as well as the EU, UN and OSCE representatives. South Ossetian delegation was headed by Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev.

Political processes in the world dictate the necessity of signing a new agreement on cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia, said today President Leonid Tibilov.
According to him, at the moment there are already a number of proposals on the future agreement, held preliminary consultations with the Russian colleagues, in particular, with the head of the Department of Russian Presidential Administration for cooperation with the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia Oleg Govorun, who recently visited the Republic.

Early next year, the State Customs Committee of South Ossetia and Federal Customs Service of Russia plan to sign an agreement on joint control of persons, vehicles and goods on the Russian-South Ossetian border, said the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the RSO Murat Tskhovrebov at today's press conference.

Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Madina Ostaeva is taking part in the III St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, which is taking place these days in the cultural capital of Russia.

The Investment Program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2014 has been successfully implemented by the joint efforts of Russian and South Ossetian experts, said the Head of the Department of the Russian President for socio-economic cooperation with South Ossetia and Abkhazia Oleg Govorun at a working meeting with members of the South Ossetian government and heads of contracting organizations.

More than 130 leading experts, journalists and political scientists from Russia, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, CIS and foreign countries participated in the international conference in Moscow "Public Diplomacy for Eurasian integration."
According to the press service of the Embassy of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation, at the conference were discussed the most urgent and pressing issues of international relations.

New external challenges and threats require from South Ossetia to sign a new treaty of alliance and partnership with Russia. This was stated by the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, speaking at a meeting of the Government of the Republic.
