Issues of cooperation between South Ossetia and the Republika Srpska were discussed during the meeting between the official representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in the SR Gela Valiev and President of the Republic Milorad Dodik.

According to the press service of the South Ossetian leader, during the meeting they discussed the opening of a trade, cultural and economic representation of South Ossetia in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The stay of the International Committee of the Red Cross in South Ossetia has been extended; a corresponding decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers at the meeting on Wednesday.

The issue was submitted to the Government by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Akhsar Dzhioev.

“The Red Cross has been doing some humanitarian work and the government gives them permission to do their work. I ask you to support the issue of extending their mission in the Republic,” the Minister said.

The proposal was unanimously supported by members of the Cabinet.

Parliamentarians of South Ossetia are taking part in the 65th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia in Moscow, the press service of the legislative body of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

In 2023, 448 violators were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, of which 196 are violators of the state border regime, 251 are border regime violators. Such data is provided by the State Security Committee of the Republic.
