President Alan Gagloev has received a delegation of the Republic of Nicaragua, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the elected President of South Ossetia, the press service of the President reports.

The delegation has included: Nicaraguan Ambassador to South Ossetia Alba Assusena Torres Mejia and the Embassy Counselor Daines Gisel Melendez Castro.

Greeting the guests, the head of state thanked them for participating in the inauguration ceremony and conveyed his best wishes to President of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega.

The elected President of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev, officially assumed the office of President of the Republic. The inauguration ceremony is being held for the first time at the State Drama Theater in the center of Tskhinval.

Alan Gagloev took an oath on the Constitution in two state languages ​​- Ossetian and Russian, after which the head of the CEC, Emilia Gagieva, handed Gagloev a presidential certificate.

As part of the working visit of the delegation of the Parliament of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council Grigory Karasin met with the Chairman of the Committee of the Parliament of South Ossetia on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev, according to the official website of the Federation Council.
