President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov has met with the delegation of the Federation Council of Russia headed by the Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on international affairs Konstantin Kosachev that arrived in South Ossetia.

A delegation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is expected in the Parliament of South Ossetia on February 5. Singer from South Ossetia Marta Kharebova, performing under the creative pseudonym "MARSALANA", won the Grand Prix and first place in the international online competition "Eastern Fairy Tale" in the Republic of Tatarstan.

As the vocalist has told IA "Res", the competition was held in January in Kazan.

According to Kharebova, the Krasnodar Institute of Culture, of which she is a graduate, sent her to the competition. "There are strong vocalists at the Institute of Culture, it's nice that they paid attention to me."

During the meeting, Dmitry Medoev told the President about the results of his working trip to Moscow, where he had met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to Dmitry Medoev, a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations were discussed at the meeting.

The number of detected cases of COVID-19 in South Ossetia over the weekend increased by 21, recovered 13, said Anna Gagloeva, Deputy Head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee said on Monday.

"For the entire time of the pandemic, as of February 1, 2,800 cases of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 were registered. On Friday, another 21 cases of coronavirus have been detected in our laboratory, a total of 238 studies were carried out on that day," Gagloeva said.

The South Ossetian national team, as the reigning European champion, qualified for the next European Championship - 2021 according to CONIFA.
