A wreath and flower laying ceremony was held at the monument to the 13 Communards at the Zguder Cemetery in the capital of South Ossetia.

The event was attended by the Republic's leadership headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, members of Parliament headed by Speaker Alan Margiev, representatives of the security forces and residents of the Republic.

The tragic events of 1920 were not just a military conflict, but a deliberate destruction of people, their identity and right to self-determination.

This was stated by President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev during the memorial event in honor of the 105th anniversary of the genocide.

He has noted that today the Ossetian people are remembering one of the most tragic pages of their history - the genocide committed by Georgia in 1920.

Konstantin Dzhussoev met with Vitaly Khotsenko in St. Petersburg

A meeting between the South Ossetian Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev and the Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko was held in St. Petersburg.

The parties expressed interest in developing bilateral relations and discussed issues of cooperation.

Dzhussoev invited the Omsk Region Governor to visit South Ossetia and take part in the first International Economic Forum.

Vitaly Khotsenko also invited South Ossetia to take part in the international film festival "Date with Russia. Siberian Character", scheduled for spring next year.

South Ossetia and Adygea agreed on cooperation

South Ossetia and Adygea agreed on cooperation.

The agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and socio-cultural spheres was signed on the sidelines of the SPIEF by Prime Minister of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev and the head of Adygea Murat Kumpilov.

The meeting was also attended by the Republic's trade representative in Moscow Taimuraz Goginov.

The Prime Minister invited the head of Adygea to South Ossetia for the economic forum, which will be held on September 18-20.

Sergey Komissarov, who has been heading the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in South Ossetia for almost two years, has admitted that the Republic has become his home.

"From the very beginning, I feel at home here," Sergey Komissarov said. "I have developed wonderful relationships, both at work and in personal relationships with everyone I contact.

I am confident in the people I work with, and I am not afraid that someone will interfere with my activities."

South Ossetia and Russia signed a protocol on amending the agreement on the regime of trade in goods

South Ossetia and Russia signed a protocol at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum on amending the Agreement between the governments of the two countries on the regime of trade in goods dated March 2, 2012.

The document was signed by Minister of Economic Development of South Ossetia Sarmat Kotaev and Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Yevgeny Grabchak, the press service of the government of South Ossetia reports.

The change concerns the exemption from export customs duty of gasoline with an octane number of 95-98 (according to the research method).
