May 20, 2013 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani said at the briefing: "One of the main goals of all visits, paid by the Foreign Ministry and the Government of Georgia - is the non-recognition, and we have never stopped the attempts in this direction."
After Russia has recognized the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, Georgia is extremely afraid of each country, which could become another link in the chain of the irreversible process of recognition of the two newly formed independent states in Transcaucasia. Being concerned about the recognition policy and trying to prevent such a development of the situation, Tbilisi has intensified its diplomatic efforts and has plunged into all sorts of adventures and provocations, up to bribe the leaders of the countries that could recognize South Ossetia. So, the President of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, at a press conference on May 21, said: "If I had had the money, and even more the billions, then the question of non-recognition would not have been raised."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia deplores the fact that the Georgian government instead of acknowledging the current realities and their irreversibility is ready to spend its taxpayers' money on such political scam and is not engaged in solving domestic problems.
Despite the fact that Georgia has been creating all kinds of obstacles in the way of South Ossetia`s further recognition, its participation in the international organizations, the world will soon hear about the new countries to recognize the independence of South Ossetia, and this process will continue.
