The South-Ossetian part of JCC informs that till now we are not aware of the ubiety and the state of health of the detained peacemakers from Ossetia - the fire sergeant of the peace-making battalion of JPKF from Ossetia the ensign Valiev Vitaliy Otkievich and the commander of the branch the sergeant Khachirov Aron Shalvovich. That is spoken in the letter of the co-chairman of JCC from South Ossetia Boris Chochiev to the co-chairmen of JCC from the Russian, the North -Ossetian and the Georgian sides.
«The silent position of the Georgian part of JCC on the given question surprises. Till now is not coordinated the question of carrying out of a tripartite monitoring together with the representatives of the Mission of OSCE for finding-out of the circumstances of detention of the peacemakers. Such a full indifference of the Georgian side promotes to aggravation of intensity in the zone of the conflict and can lead to undesirable consequences.
In this connection, the south-ossetian side addresses the Co-chairman from the Georgian side and insists on taking all the necessary measures for carrying out of a monitoring with the purpose of finding-out of the circumstances of detention of the peacemakers, their medical examination for finding-out of using measures of physical or psychological influence on them and demands the immediate release of the peacemakers that are under protection of the international law».
Copies of the letter are also directed to the acting Head of the Mission of OSCE in Georgia Mr.Veselin Nikolaev and to the acting Commander of JPKF the lieutenant colonel Dubbelmav P.I.
