Seventy-two polling stations will be opened in South Ossetia for the early presidential elections.
As noted byEmilia Gagieva, chairperson of the Central Election Commission, during a meeting, polling stations are being approved only in South Ossetia, as there is no information yet on how many stations and where the CEC can open them outside the Republic.
"We have already sent a corresponding request to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and we will receive a response in the coming days regarding the number of polling stations and where we can open them outside South Ossetia," Gagieva said.
The presidential elections in South Ossetia will be held on September 18.
