Yuri Morozov: «We believe there are enough sound powers in the international community who can adequately perceive our people’s struggle for independence»

«On behalf of the people of South Ossetia I would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Russian Federation for the acceptance of such an important for us decision»-said the Prime Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Yuri Morozov commenting to IA «Res» correspondent an instruction of the President of RF Vladimir Putin of providing an objective backing to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. «The citizens of RSO who has a Russian citizenship, their number is more than 95% can at last fulfill their plans on more worthy life and stable development. One should say these measures are well-timed, for the society having no possibility to develop dynamically and to be optimistic about their future can not be a full-fledged member of International Community.

Eduard Kokoity: «We are clearly demonstrating the democratic principles realization»

Sukhum played host for the ceremony of unveiling an Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Abkhazia. The ceremony was participated by the President of RSO Eduard Kokoity and the President of RA Sergey Bagapsh. As the President of the Republic of South Ossetia informed IA «Res» correspondent «this event is significant not only for South Ossetia and Abkhazia but for all who struggling for their independence.

South Ossetian and Abkhazian customs signed an agreement of cooperation

The Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia signed an agreement of cooperation in customs sphere. The ceremony of initialing has eventuated today in the capital of Abkhazia Sukhum. The document has been signed by the State Customs Committee of RA chairman Grigory Enik and the Head of the RSO State Customs department Konstantin Kabisov.

Alan Pliev: «Georgia’s proposals are absolutely unfounded»

«The last Georgia’s proposals on reintegration of Abkhazia and South Ossetia into Georgia and offers of some high ranks in power structures are absolutely unfounded». This was stated to IA «Res» correspondent by the deputy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Pliev on commenting proposed by Georgia terms of RSO and RA entering Georgia. «First of all one should say that South Ossetia and Abkhazia are sovereign States nobody has a right to predetermine their destiny. During two referendums people made their choice and will never change it. The population of South Ossetia, including Georgians consider themselves as citizens of independent state»-underlined Alan Pliev.

President’s Meeting in Sukhum

Today at 11:00 the capital of Abkhazia Sukhum will play host for the meeting of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh and the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity. During the meeting the Presidents will discuss the questions of the economic cooperation, including customs sphere and trade and industrial interaction.

RSO Government working group visited Kvaisa

The Government working group consisting of the deputy of RSO Prime Minister Taimuraz Chochiev, the Minister of Health and social development Nugzar Gabaraev and the Minister of Road-building Rudolf Tskhovrebov visited Kvaisa town of Djava district of RSO. The purpose of the visit was to meet district inhabitants to determine their problems and the ways of their solution. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent by RSO Prime Minister press secretary Zarina Sanakoeva.

Georgian blockade victims

The blockade of Ossetian villages conducted by the armed formations of Georgian force structures from 24 March to 6 April 2008 brought to Ossetian people human losses apart from acute shortage of foodstuffs, life necessities and medicines. Having been on the edge of humanitarian disaster, the inhabitants of Ossetian villages were deprived of medical assistance, what was noted with indignation even by Georgian ambulancemen.

Interparliamentary Assembly headquarters to be relocated from Moscow to the one of IPA Member Republics

The headquarters of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member-States of «For democracy and nations rights» society will be relocated from Moscow to one of IPA Member Republics towns. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent by the deputy of RSO Parliament Chairman Tarzan Kokoity.
«It was decided from the outset that the headquarters of the Interpaliamentary Assembly will be located in one of our republics, either in Abkhazia or in South Ossetia or in Transdnistria. But taking in account the tense situation that time in the Transdnistrian-Moldovan Republic, the Republik of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia due to the pressure of Georgian and Moldovan authorities it was decided to start working in Moscow»-said Kokoity.
