Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia is temporarily headed by Akhsar Dzhioev

Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev has announced that the Diplomatic mission of South Ossetia in Moscow was currently headed by the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic in the Russian Federation Akhsar Dzhioev. "As you know, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia, Dmitry Medoev declared about his participation in the election of the President, scheduled for March 25 by the Parliament. Medoev is now in South Ossetia and is engaged in preparing for presidential campaign.

CEC: Vice-Speaker of South Ossetia Yuri Dzitstsoity passed the exam

A presidential aspirant of South Ossetia, a Vice-Speaker of Parliament Yuri Dzitstsoity has passed today an exam on qualifications of the official languages, necessary for registration of presidential candidates. As IA "Res" has been informed at the CEC of South Ossetia, Yuri Dzitstsoity passed the exam successfully, and members of the linguistic commission gave him a pass.

The CEC of South Ossetia has registered the last action groups

The Central Election Committee of South Ossetia has registered two action groups, nominating Anatoly Dzhioev and former Deputy Speaker Sergei Pliev as the candidates for president of South Ossetia. As IA "Res" has been informed at the CEC of South Ossetia, the authorized representatives of the party "Raestag IR" (Fair Ossetia), nominating the former head of Dzausky district administration of South Ossetia Pavel Kumaritov, were issued a certificate of registration. Deadline for applications from the action groups and political parties is February 9. The action teams supporting Dzhioev and Pliev, as well as the authorized representatives of the party "Raestag IR" were the latest who had submitted applications to the CEC.

South Ossetia is preparing for presidential elections in Russia

The Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia is preparing for organization the presidential elections of the Russian Federation in the territory of South Ossetia. As reported to IA "Res" by Consul of the RF Embassy Tamerlan Zasseev, the day of the presidential elections in Russia, on March 4, 2012, 12 polling stations will be opened for the Russian citizens in South Ossetia.
